Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using QuarkEdu, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are registering on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials
- Student accounts for minors must be created by a teacher, school administrator, or parent
- One person per account — do not share login credentials
3. Student Access
Student accounts are provided at no cost. There are no hidden fees or paywalled learning content. Schools and organizations may subscribe to premium features (custom branding, LMS integration, advanced analytics) — these do not affect student access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or security measures
- Upload malicious content, spam, or content that violates intellectual property rights
- Use automated tools to scrape data or overload the platform
5. Content
Platform content (courses, exercises, questions) is owned by its creators (teachers, schools, or QuarkEdu). Students retain ownership of their own work (portfolio artifacts, discussion posts, quiz responses). By submitting content, you grant QuarkEdu a license to host, display, and deliver it within the platform.
6. Multi-Tenant Organizations
Organizations operating on QuarkEdu are responsible for their own content, user management, and compliance with local regulations. QuarkEdu provides the platform infrastructure but does not control organization-specific content or policies.
7. Certificates
Certificates issued by QuarkEdu verify course completion within the platform. They are not academic credentials or accredited degrees. Employers and institutions may verify certificates using the unique verification URL provided on each certificate.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through Settings. QuarkEdu may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, except where required by law to retain.
9. Limitation of Liability
QuarkEdu is provided "as is." We strive for uptime and data integrity but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
