1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and school affiliation. During use of the platform, we collect learning progress data (quiz scores, module completions, time spent) to power adaptive learning and generate reports.

We do not collect financial information from students. Student accounts are provided at no cost and require no payment.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Personalize your learning experience through adaptive algorithms
  • Generate progress reports for students, teachers, and parents
  • Improve platform features based on aggregate usage patterns
  • Send essential account notifications (password resets, enrollment confirmations)

We never sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on encrypted servers (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit). Database access is restricted by role-based policies with row-level security (RLS) ensuring tenant isolation — your organization's data is never visible to another organization.

4. Multi-Tenant Isolation

Each school operates in a fully isolated tenant environment. Student data, settings, content, and configurations are scoped to the tenant. Platform administrators cannot access individual student records without explicit authorization.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

QuarkEdu is designed for use in educational settings. Student accounts for children under 13 are created by teachers or administrators, not by the children directly. We comply with COPPA requirements and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental or institutional consent.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Correction: Update inaccurate personal information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Portability: Export your learning data in standard formats

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or behavioral analytics tools. No data is shared with Google Analytics, Facebook, or similar services.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users via email and in-app notification of any material changes to this policy at least 30 days before they take effect.
